Programmer, Blackheath

Our client is a major provider of innovative baking, food service and packaging solutions across the African continent and international markets. They are looking to appoint a Programmer proficient with robotics at their Blackheath (Cape Town) based facility.
Only candidates already in the Western Cape will be considered.

Requirements:
• Draughting Diploma
• Min 5 years’ technical drawing office experience in light steel metal fabrication
• Proficient in MS Office and SolidWorks
• Sound knowledge of stainless steel, aluminium and alusteel
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• High attention to detail
• Able to delegate and supervise staff
• Sound admin, planning, organising and controlling skills
• Valid driver’s license

Working Hours:
• Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
• Over time may be require

Salary:
• Will be discussed with short-listed candidates

Responsibilities:
• Generate technical drawings for internal manufacturing and external suppliers
• Manage technical systems
• Program, nest and operation robotic machines
• Create flat patterns for production
• Design tools and develop new products / equipment (R & D)
• Assist sales teams and clients with equipment details
• Maintain and create equipment manuals, brochures and documentation
• Support production with development and engineering concepts
• Assist with ISO implementation
• Prepare reports and presentations for technicians and management
