Field Technician / Engineer

Our established client in Blackheath, Cape Town is seeking a skilled Field Technician / Engineer to join their on-site team. The successful candidate will need a Millwright / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification with 5 years’ experience generating reports and training people (locally and internationally) in a technical / manufacturing environment.

Only candidates already in the Western Cape will be considered.

Non-negotiable Requirements:
• Millwright / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical / Manufacturing environment
• Strong hands -on ability with a passion for producing detailed written reports
• Excellent planning, organisational and client interaction skills
• Business English proficiency (written and verbal)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Solid attendance record with sound references
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong adherence to quality and H & S standards
• Valid driver’s license and passport for travelling both locally an internationally
• Live in Western Cape

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical and after-sales support
• Write and validate technical information used for documentation
• Develop and maintain a database of technical specifications and information
• Supply technical information to marketing, sales, spares and customers
• Participate in projects and research as required
• Conduct testing and validations
• Deliver training sessions
• Travel both nationally and internationally for training, projects, commissioning and fault fining

Working Hours:
• Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
