Position: Buyer and Inventory Clerk

1. Role Purpose
Position Summary
The Buyer / Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s automotive afterparts inventory. This role focuses on the end-to-end management of stock levels. The successful candidate will ensure that the physical stock aligns perfectly with customer demands while optimizing supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management & Systems
• Maintain real-time accuracy of the automotive parts inventory within the branch
• Monitor stock movements.
• Forecast & Project future product movement in order to maintain healthy stock levels
• Work closely with sales team in order to understand product and customer demands.

2. Compliance
• Collaborate with the procurement team to trigger re-order points and manage lead times for high-demand parts.

Qualifications and Experience
• Education: Matric certificate (Grade 12) required a Diploma in Supply Chain or Certificate , Logistics, or Warehouse Management is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 3–5 years in inventory control.
• Proven proficiency excel
• Strong understanding of South African supply chain logistics and inventory auditing procedures.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and physical counting.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to investigate "shortages" or "overs" and find the root cause in the system.
• Integrity: Strong ethical standards regarding stock security and loss prevention.
