WAREHOUSE MANAGER - STEEL

Our client a local steel merchant requires an energetic and hands on person to oversee the full function of managing a busy warehouse.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager in a retail and distribution environment is essential
• Knowledge of mild steel or related products will be an advantage
• Computer literate
• Own Transport and a valid driver’s licence
• Have a stable work record and contactable references
• Of sober habits
• Physically fit and able to work on your feet
• Able to work retail hours, including Saturdays and Public Holidays on a roster basis from 8am to 13:00

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee the entire warehouse, logistics and distribution function
• Manage Warehouse Staff
• Oversee the receiving of stock into the warehouse
• Route planning
• Dealing with customers
• Ensure that the warehouse is neat and tidy
• Ensure goods received are per order and specification
• Ensure that despatched stock is loaded accurately and checked as per company systems
• Oversee and action daily stock checks
• Ensure that deadlines are met
• Oversee the OHS requirements within the warehouse
