Job Description:

EXTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE (TECHNICAL) – ALRODE (5294)
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong External Sales Representative to grow and manage business within the mining, engineering, and manufacturing sectors.

Minimum Requirements:
• 3+ years external sales experience
• Proven track record calling on mines, engineering firms, or manufacturing companies
• Strong technical background (engineering, mechanical, industrial or related field)
• Willing and able to travel extensively
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong negotiation and closing skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Development
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the mining, engineering, and manufacturing sectors
• Actively prospect and open new accounts within assigned territory
• Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve growth targets
• Conduct regular client visits and on-site consultations

Account Management
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and technical concerns professionally

Technical Sales Support
• Conduct technical product presentations and demonstrations
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications where required
• Provide product recommendations based on customer application needs
• Work closely with internal technical and operations teams to ensure accurate product supply
• Assist customers with product selection, troubleshooting, and after-sales support

Sales & Reporting
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and tenders
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
• Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM reporting
• Provide regular sales forecasts and market feedback

Market Intelligence
• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends
• Identify new product opportunities and market demands
• Provide strategic feedback to management regarding customer needs
