Job Description:

Videx Mining Products is seeking a suitably qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards
• Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications
• Liaise with production, maintenance, and project teams
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving projects
• Manage projects from concept to implementation where required

Minimum Requirements:
• BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience (industrial/manufacturing environment advantageous)
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD)
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
