Job Description:

To drive aggressive growth for a medium-sized Cleaning, Hygiene, and Pest Control company by taking full ownership of the sales cycle — from prospecting and cold calling to pricing, tenders, and relationship management. This is a senior-level role requiring over 10 years’ relevant experience and the ability to independently deliver results in a highly competitive service industry.
• Generate leads and secure new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and site visits.
• Build and manage a strong and healthy sales pipeline.
• Conduct thorough site assessments and client needs analysis.
• Leverage existing professional contacts and networks to generate leads and new business opportunities, and actively develop new relationships to expand the company’s market reach.
• Support marketing initiatives by providing market feedback and participating in promotional activities as needed.
Sales Execution
• Sell the full range of cleaning, hygiene, and pest control services to commercial, industrial, and government clients.
• Prepare and present compelling quotations, pricing, and service level agreements.
• Close deals with decision-makers, negotiate contracts, and follow through post-sale.
Tender Management
• Identify tender and RFP opportunities in both private and public sectors.
• Prepare and submit fully compliant tender documentation, including technical specifications, costings, and supporting documents.
• Track tender status and engage in follow-ups where necessary.
Costings & Pricing
• Conduct accurate, competitive costings based on site visits and operational input.
• Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure service delivery is feasible and profitable.
Client Relationship Management
• Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing clients.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Handle queries, resolve service issues, and maintain excellent customer service standards.
Reporting & Administration
• Keep detailed records of leads, proposals, and outcomes.
• Submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Ensure all quotes, costings, and tender submissions are documented and archived appropriately.
Cross-Department Collaboration
• Work closely with internal teams (operations) to ensure a seamless handover and delivery of services sold.
• Provide feedback on client requirements and service trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (costing sheets, pricing models, reporting).
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Minimum 10 years of proven external sales experience in cleaning, hygiene, pest control, or similar service-based industry.
• Strong history of meeting/exceeding sales targets through cold calling, tenders, and direct sales.
• Experience in preparing quotations, costings, and managing tender processes.
