Lupa Osteria Design Quarter in Fourways is looking for enthusiastic, well-presented, and customer-focused Waiters/Waitresses to join our dynamic front-of-house team. As part of the Lupa family, you will embody the warmth, charm, and energy of authentic Italian hospitality. You’ll be responsible for creating a memorable dining experience by providing attentive, friendly, and professional service — from greeting guests to ensuring their meals and drinks are served to perfection.
Key Responsibilities * Customer Service Excellence: Greet guests warmly, present menus, and offer knowledgeable recommendations on food and drinks. * Order Taking & Accuracy: Take orders accurately and promptly input them into the POS system. * Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring correct orders reach the correct tables with proper presentation. * Product Knowledge: Maintain a full understanding of the Lupa menu, including daily specials, wines, and promotions, to confidently guide guest choices. * Cleanliness & Presentation: Keep service stations, tables, and the dining area neat, tidy, and fully stocked at all times. * Upselling & Promotion: Promote specials, desserts, and drinks to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with managers, kitchen staff, and fellow waiters to ensure seamless service during busy periods. * Billing & Payments: Present bills accurately, process payments efficiently, and handle cash/card transactions responsibly. * Guest Experience: Anticipate guest needs, address concerns professionally, and ensure complete satisfaction before they leave. * Store Standards: Uphold all company service standards, dress code, and operational procedures. * Health & Safety: Follow hygiene, safety, and food handling protocols as per Lupa policies.
Key Skills & Attributes * Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a full-service restaurant environment preferred. * Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor. * Excellent communication and customer interaction skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Well-groomed, punctual, and reliable. * Team player with a proactive attitude. * Basic POS and billing system knowledge advantageous. * Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Performance Expectations * Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction levels. * Follow service timing standards (greet within 1 minute, take drink orders within 3 minutes, etc.). * Achieve personal and store sales targets through upselling and promotions. * Ensure all guest complaints are escalated to management promptly. * Be a brand ambassador for Lupa Osteria — embodying authenticity, energy, and passion for food and hospitality.
