IT Support Technician – Boksburg

We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team and take ownership of our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, solutions-focused, and passionate about ensuring seamless IT operations while supporting colleagues across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide timely technical support and troubleshoot IT issues for end-users.
• Monitor system performance, implement updates, and maintain cybersecurity measures.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and maintain accurate IT documentation.
• Support IT initiatives including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
• Enforce IT policies and best practices to maintain a secure and efficient technology environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office, networking, and IT systems.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Skills & Certifications
• Certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA), Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE) are an advantage.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
