Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site role based at our client’s offices in Johannesburg. As an HR Administrator, you will provide essential support to the HR Manager by handling various HR administrative tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, and compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth HR operations and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in posting job advertisements, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and managing the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a seamless transition into the company. Payroll & Compensation: Support the processing of timesheets, assist with payroll queries, and ensure payroll records are maintained in compliance with company policies and regulations. Employee Records & Documentation: Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, performance reviews, and other HR-related documentation. Help prepare HR reports for internal and external purposes. Employee Engagement & Relations: Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs and incentives. Help resolve employee concerns and maintain positive communication between employees and management. Compliance & Legal: Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies. Support audits and ensure all HR documentation is up to date and in line with regulatory requirements. Training & Development: Coordinate training sessions, track attendance, and maintain records of completed training programs and certifications.
Requirements:
A relevant degree or qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or a related field. 1-2 years experience in an HR administrative or similar role will be beneficial Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, payroll, and employee relations. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
