Job Description: Strip and Assembler
Core Responsibilities
Dismantle vehicle or machinery components (doors, panels, trims, bumpers, lights, mirrors, etc.) prior to repair or spray painting.

Label and store removed parts safely to prevent damage or loss.

Reassemble components after painting or repair, ensuring correct alignment and fit.

Inspect parts for wear, damage, or defects during stripping and report findings.

Replace damaged or worn components with new parts when required.

Work closely with spray painters, panel beaters, and mechanics to coordinate workflow.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Skills & Competencies
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools.

Knowledge of vehicle structures and assembly methods.

Attention to detail for proper alignment and fitting.

Ability to follow technical instructions and diagrams.

Strong organizational skills for tracking parts during dismantling.

Teamwork and communication skills.

Educational Requirements
Minimum: Grade 9–12.

On-the-job training or apprenticeship in automotive repair or industrial assembly.

Trade test or certification in automotive repair is advantageous.

Experience
1–3 years in automotive, spray painting, or mechanical workshop environments.

Experience with dismantling and assembling vehicle components preferred.

Familiarity with safety procedures in workshops.

Work Environment
Automotive workshops, spray booths, or industrial repair facilities.

Exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals — requires protective clothing and equipment.

Work may involve standing for long periods and handling heavy parts.
