Job Description:

Junior IT Support Technician

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and basic network issues
• Log, track, and resolve support tickets in a timely manner
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT support staff when necessary
• Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and software
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues
• Support IT team with system upgrades and maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate documentation of issues and solutions

Minimum Requirements:
• Valid driver's license (Code 8) and own reliable vehicle
• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 0–2 years of experience in an IT support environment (internships included)
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems (Linux is a plus)
• Understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Advantageous:
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+
• Exposure to helpdesk or ticketing systems

Salary:
R6,000 – R15,000 per month (depending on experience)

• Training and mentorship will be provided
