Data Product Owner

Data Product Owner – Johannesburg or Pretoria (Hybrid)

Contract: 6–12 months (project dependent)
Hybrid: 3 days onsite 2 days remote

Our client is looking for an experienced Data Product Owner to manage business-facing data products and drive data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Minimum Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Product Owner
• Experience delivering Data and/or Analytics products
• Strong understanding of Data Platforms and Analytics
• Product roadmap development and backlog management
• Agile & Scrum experience
• Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of data quality and data governance
• Experience measuring product success through KPIs and value realisation
• Financial Services experience advantageous
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:
• Define product vision and roadmap
• Own and prioritise the product backlog
• Collaborate with business, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Architecture teams
• Improve data quality, accessibility, and usability
• Drive stakeholder engagement and continuous product improvement
