Cloud Product Owner

Cloud Product Owner – Johannesburg or Pretoria (Hybrid)

Contract: 6–12 months (project dependent)
Hybrid: 3 days onsite 2 days remote

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of their enterprise Cloud Platform, enabling secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Minimum Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Product Owner
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS advantageous)
• Strong understanding of Platform Engineering and Cloud Operations
• Experience with DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimisation
• Product roadmap and backlog management experience
• Strong stakeholder management and value realisation skills
• Financial Services experience advantageous
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:
• Define and manage the Cloud Platform vision and roadmap
• Own and prioritise the product backlog
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams
• Drive cloud platform adoption and continuous improvement
• Balance reliability, security, performance, and cost optimisation
• Manage stakeholder engagement and product governance
